n0Mad Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 My mom got her first Webkinz for Valentine's Day and she quickly became addicted, having about 30 pets now. She, my niece, and my older sister are crazy for these dumb little stuffed animals and their interactive web environment. My dad and I just shake our heads, not understanding. Well, my mom bought me the crocodile because I've always had an affinity for alligators, even canoeing over 100 miles through the Everglades with my dad for a week. I have a bit of a break from school so I finally got around to adopting him today. And I'll be damned if this isn't addicting. I keep playing games and doing jobs to earn Kinz Cash so I can buy furniture for my rooms and, and ... ARGH! Make it stop. Need my fix ... So, anyone else an addict?
Homicidalheathen Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Oh no. NOT more Neopet wannabe's... they have those in plush now...the purple dragon was cute
Msterbeau Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 My girls have them... we registered them and... nothing. Hahahaha!!
tanuki1985 Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 When I lived in Florida, the store I worked at sold Webkins, and they literally flew off the shelves. They sold more than any of our official Disney merchandise. I was a stocker, and when I wasn't stocking ice in the hot-ass summer, I was constantly restocking Webkinz. I've never owned a Webkin or played with one, but damn, they must be a helluva lot of fun.
taysteewonderbunny Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 My little cousins, ages 5 and 7, love them! Last night, they were mercifully distracted playing the games for a full hour. I was thus able to do laundry and pack (leaving out of town today). But, officially, my hamster (Baba Ghanoush, whom they redubbed Baba Yaga), is more cool. She eats pinenuts from your hand. That's more entertaining, I guess. Oh, and fart noises. Fart noises are still bigger than Webkins.
EnViOuSPoPpEt Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 My boss and co-worker have some.. and I wanted one until I saw them on the desktop all day I said to myself forget it .. I have a lot of free time that can become of use lol. They are an addiction.
