CatMedium Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 What do you think about Phil Graham, Rick Davis, and the Keating 5?
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 I don't think about them much. Honestly, if those are the worst skeletons the man has in his closet, whats the problem?
Goth Brooks Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Everyone knows McCain's bid for President is a long term operation by Chinese/Vietnamese intelligence agencies. The true reason for the Sino-Vietnam war was the battle over the code word that would trip McCain's brainwashing and open the door for our new overlords. Hope you've been studying up on your mandarin.

Hope you've been studying up on your mandarin. but obama whould make such a better overlord. more youth, could use a whip much better then macain. and he has been winning the debate on using kids on bikes with generators to power new york city, kill 2 birds with 1 stone there. show your ruthlessness and still be be about going green i mean he needs as much oil as he can get to run the floating pyramid
sass_in_the_pants Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I assume you mean Phil Gramm - sorry if there's a different one that I don't know about. After Mr. Gramm made his comment about the country being a nation of whiners, McCain had some harsh words for Gramm and Gramm left the campaign, as far as I know, in July, so I would think Gramm's involvement going forward with his campaign and potential presidency would be minimal. I could be mistaken though, is he still involved with the campaign? I know Davis had alot to do with the deal between DHL and Airborne Express, and now that DHL is planning on leaving Ohio, I know it's going to cost jobs. That being said, consolidations, and the accompanying layoffs, are just a part of business - I just worked on the 09 budget at my company and alot of people will be losing their jobs because of an acquisition we're planning. I hate it, I hate that's how it is, but if we are to be competitive it's what we have to do - or else EVERYONE is out of a job. So, again, I know Davis has gotten some criticism for the work he had on that deal, but I can hardly criticize a man for doing exactly what I did last week - and will continue to do. As for the Keating 5 deal - the Senate Ethics Committee cleared McCain of all charges. They said he did nothing illegal, improper or grossly negligent. There wasn't any evidence against him. That being said, it was twenty years ago and even McCain calls it 'the worst mistake of my life'. He admits to exercising poor judgement. And, like Gaf said, if after 25 years in Washington that's the best dirt they've got on him, that's pretty impressive. I gained an enormous amount of respect for McCain when I found out his son Jimmy was serving in Iraq. I respected the man all the more because I hadn't found it out from him. He doesn't talk about it. Think about that. He has a son serving in Iraq and he chooses NOT to parade that information around. He's answered questions when asked about his son, but for the most part, he doesn't bring it up as part of his campaign. He could. It would get him votes, I'm sure. But he doesn't. I respect that.
SaGa Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 on a serious note. im more for macain. just bye experience alone he has twice that, and has worked his way to being president. obama started politics in 1996. thats only 12 years, and suddenly everyone can trust he can handle it all. but well even with all the dirt thrown at obama he still seems to be leading with most people, in michigan at least. mccain has to break a lot of beliefs people have about him. everyone accusing the guy of being with big oil and another bush. he does not deserve those labels just cause of what bush did.

I believe both his sons are in the Marines, but don't quote me on it. I'm more for McCain myself, because personally I don't think Obama has enough experience to lead the country. Shit, it was only a few months ago when his own VP said the same thing.

Both of his sons are in the military, but only one is in Iraq. I believe his other son is in the naval academy. I worry about Obama's experience too. He's had one term in the U.S. senate, and half of that was spent campaigning for presidency. That worries me.
