deadbydesire Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 So who loves this soundtrack? It just proves how great this movie is gonna be...
Destroit Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 OMFG, as Ogre's number one stalker (even beating out Phee), I don't know how I didn't see this thread earlier. I've been following the movie ever since it was announced a little over a year ago, and I've been much more than hyped. The cast that Darren Lynn Bousman chose was definately unique, I mean what choice could have been more extreme than casting Paris Hilton as Ogre's sister? Then even having Sarah Brightman, for instance, world-renown opera singer in it is awesome, I belive it's her first movie. After all that, the fact that they gothed both of them out for their parts should be both interesting and visually appealing. At first I was skeptical on what the music for this movie would be like, I mean the entire thing is going to be an industrialesque opera, but after hearing a few tracks and seeing clips from the movie it seems actually quite good. Not to mention the acting itself is very well done. I can't wait to see it personally, but the sad part is that it may not be coming to Detroit . That's why everyone needs to go to the website, www.repo-opera.com/board, and join the street team to get the word out to Lionsgate to make this a wide-release. The reason they're only having it limited at first is because it's not your average cookie-cutter type movie, so they're refusing to release it nationally until they see if it can pull in an audience in a few big cities. As of right now the closest place to see it November 7th is Chicago, there's a screening at the After Dark Film Festival in Toronto on October 18th. I'm on their messageboard myself, go find me on it.

GREAT...I thought I would be able to see it asap...now it seems it is an "in" thing to do...I will not do it.......no tellin' how long I'll have to wait for the 'hype' to die down...
bav Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 This is a long shot, but is anyone else from here going to be in NYC on Nov. 7th for the release of Repo?

Given the limited release of the movie (nearest theatrical release being in Minneapolis), I wouldn't worry too much about it being an 'in' thing to do.

deadbydesire Posted October 16, 2008 Author Posted October 16, 2008 Most likely I'll be going to Chicago if I can save enough money.
