My husband and I were watching SOAD perform their first song on SNL last night. They're on a 5-second delay now I guess, and the song was rife with the "f" word, each time being silenced (you could see them still mouthing the word - guess they didn't worry about camera shots...)

But at the very end, the guitarist/co-singer managed to slip one final "fuck" or "fucking" or some derivative by. I know I heard right, 'cause my husband and I immediately looked at each-other wide-eyed and confirmed we'd both heard it.

I wonder if the FCC watchdogs caught it. That's, what, a $500,000 penalty now?

Hope none of them exposed any breasts. Er i mean had wardrobe malfunctions.

Although it will be the station/insurance that has to pay the fines, if the FCC decides to make examples of them, it'll be a lot more than a 500k slap on the wrist for a huge entity like that. :confused

HAHA I seen that! Me and Jesse died laughing wondering if they where going to cut the preformance off or what. They played another song with no screw ups. And yea the word he was screaming was "fuck". :laughing

i have seen some shows on now that say things i think are just as bad as "fuck". or show things much worse than hearing the word "fuck".

there was this show on last year i think? or maybe even 2 years now... some lawyer type show- the main person on the show was some chick. the name of it slips my mind now- but anyways- very first episode ever on was FILLED with things i was in shock over. the references enough were alone to blow my mind. (of a sexual nature) and they were saying things like bitch, pissed, ass, blue balls, etc... i mean it was one thing after another.

not saying that that is wrong... or that that is ok. just makes me wonder how it comes to be that certain things are "ok" now but other things of the same degree are not. ??

omg i do......... not a whole lot of it though i was young and my mom started to pitch a fit about it so i heard more of my mom then i heard them.
