Who here thinks that there is a possibility that BOTH of our glorious parties are mere PUPPETS?

That ALL the issues are CARDS... just CARDS... it's like they are playing Magic cards.. & we are the prize.

That they are ALL playing a big game... with the world.

If this country was run the way our forefathers had intended, then yes, our government should be puppets. Puppets of the people. Our government does not give or restrict the people's liberties. Rather, it's the other way around. The people are free and have certain inalienable rights granted to us by our creator (whoever that may be in your religion). Our Constitution and Bill of Rights protects those pre-existing, individual rights. The government comes from the people and should only have as much power as the people grants it. Yes, our leaders should be puppets; our puppets.

Unfortunately, that's not the way things work. Once you give somebody power, they are loathe to give it up and just seek more.

I think in this election, it's not going to matter who wins. Either way, we're going down......

That's what I'm seeing... like, everyone involved is a little too 'perfect' of a representation of the side they represent... each with a smooth & glossy veneer... to face at the opposition... in order to get the cross votes... I see it as a confusion tactic.

I think both parties are indeed mostly puppets to the corporatist oligarchs and banking cartels

Vote Bob Barr. He's the Libertarian. If he gets more than five per cent of the vote, his party will get matching funds. What does that mean? Well, it means that Paper or Plastic will win the White House, spend the next two years cleaning up the Shrub's mess, and then have to deal with maybe ten to thirty Libertarian congress people in the 2010 mid-term elections.

It would mean a balanced budget by 2012.

Of course, it can't happen if you don't vote Bob Barr. And it certainly won't happen if you just say "that's nice, it'll never happen"...

I would love to believe a vote for him would actually make a difference, but an off party vote useually supports the republicans, from what I have seen.....

{In all actuality, I have questioned the impact of the peoples vote for a long time}

{{Do we really matter?????}}

The Republican are the Democrats. The Democrats are the Republicans. Saying that "third parties tend to support the Ds/Rs" is like saying that "third parties tend to breathe air".

I have only heard about this guy once. But I am totally looking into it... I was going this way in the Spring...

How extreme a Libertarian is he?

thats kinda like saying that it doesn't matter if a Republican is a conservative or a liberal, as long as he is a Republican, ttogreh.

I wouldn't vote on a person just to give them a percentage...I would vote on who I believe to be the best for the job...or the lesser of two evils....not to give Bill a better shot in the future, especially if I don't agree with his standings....thats a rather ignorant way to vote.

Good point.

I seem to remember hearing some *really* unsavory things about Barr in the past..... if I recall, he's got a serious problem with alternative religions, too.

I really dont know *who* im voting for.

At this point, I am so disgusted, I'm tempted to write in Alfred E Neuman.

Wow..... go do a little reading on Bob Barr.

:ohmy:

NO.

If you're uncomfortable with Palin, you definately would be uncomfortable with this man's history.

      I'm thinking I'm going to be moving to AZ, soon! Can't wait! I friggin' love it here! The heat doesn't bother me at all and the best part? NO SNOW!!! (S.N.O.W. - Shit  No One Wants)   Been staying in Bullhead City where the kids and grandkids live. Next, we're going to the wife's cousin's which is a ways North of Kingman, in the middle of nowhere, where we actually plan to move.   I really like Bullhead. It's a nice little town. Not overcrowded like Colorado Springs has become, at all. Very light traffic, reasonable prices on everything, low taxes, etc. The river offers a lot to do, with a lot of beaches and campgrounds all around it.   But yeah even though we've been over 110º-115º F just about every day,  I can handle it!  What I can't handle anymore, is snow and being cold. Just tired of it. Give me the desert over a blizzard any day!

      Nope, we wasn't doing anything. I didn't want to go by myself.  I ended up doing karaoke here. It would of been a perfect day to go, though.
