Don't know how or where to begin. I've attended for many years, never really meeting anyone, however a friend of mine told me this is were one needs to come to say hello, and then to get to know people from the place that I have loved when I was 19, I'm 35 now. Yeah, the Leeland. Whatever happened to the lighting,

I've been in Maryland for the last 13 years, and it seems with all the great artwork that got destroyed, so did the lighting too?

So just wanting to say hi.

Bernie

Right on. You know I attended ritually, as many do when they are introduced to this. I however "back in the day," never really got to know anyone, mainly out of my own fears, of accepting my goth side. strange eh? however true it is.

The question that I pose, is this. What makes someone Gothic? A Question that I've asked myself for years. And is it unGothic, to like anything that is not?

Well things were spinnin' round me

And all my thoughts were cloudy

And I had begun to doubt all the things that were me

Been in so many places

You know I've run so many races

And looked into the empty faces of the people of the night

And something is just not right ... 'cause I know

That I gotta get out of here

I'm so alone

Don't you know that I gotta get out of here

'Cause Mardela's Not My Home

Though all the streets are crowded

There's something strange about it

Lived there 'bout a 5 years and I never once felt at home

I though I'd make the big time

I learned a lot of lessons awful quick

And now I'm tellin' you

That they were not the nice kind

And it's been so long since I have felt fine ... that's the reason

That I gotta get out of here

I'm so alone

Don't you know that I gotta get out of here

'Cause Mardela's Not My Home

HOME Again.... Detroit to me, is the greatest show on earth.

Does she exist here, and when will she allow me to worship her body?

This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...

Well we were supposed to leave last night, but life has a way of making plans for you. I'm about to get up and get ready to go on our vacation. Had and still have a lot to do.  Not easy to just up and leave a ranch with a lot of animals and things that need taken care of. We even have people here to watch and tend things while we're gone, but still.   I had to change the radiator in my car before we leave - got that done last night. Took a lot more out of me than I thought it would, so by the time I finished I had little energy for anything else. Today I just have a couple more quick things to do on the car, like cleaning it and packing stuff. Couple of minor things to do around the ranch today, as well.   I figure we should be on the road this evening sometime. I'm looking forward to it. We're going to see the wife's side of the family, people I actually like,  in Vegas and AZ. Should only be gone for a few days, maybe a week. Going to the Grand Canyon and Lake Mead and all kinds of stuff in between, so I'm pretty stoked. I LOVE the Southwest.   Wish me luck that my car survives the desert! (Hence new radiator) 🤠👍

Sometimes sleep can be a scary thing.  I passed out so hard at 4:54pm today.  Yesterday wiped me out with rentals, appointments and helping a lost dog get back home.  Fortunately, I found him on Facebook and contacted the owners and he was picked up before nightfall.  But I think I totally overdid it and paid for it today in the middle of handling business.  Thankfully it was some work at home stuff.   I definitely do not like being that kind of tired.  It's like the World could end and I'd wake up afterwards trying to find out what happened.
