Homicidalheathen Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 7, 2008 LEAD STORY The Other "Fight Clubs" Are for Sissies: At the August Dog Brothers "Gathering of the Pack" in Southern California, it was "(A)nything goes," according to one warrior (looking to fight with "blunted knives"). A Reuters reporter witnessed two men without padding beat each other with heavy sticks and two others fight with electrically charged knives. The latter duel ended when, during a wrestling hold, one slipped a hand free and planted a 1,000-volt surge. The action seems exhilarating. Said one, "I've never felt better than when I'm doing this." Another: "Honestly, I wish I could find a church with the same spirit of support and love (as I feel here)." Said "Crafty Dog" Denny, it's "higher consciousness through harder contact." You know I'm all for taking up a hobby, but seriously beating the shit out of people and getting the shit beaten outta you doesn't sound like that much fun to me.
sass_in_the_pants Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 wait till your a lil older fellas...those broken bones and bruises don't heal so easy... LOL! SO true...the boys used to play 'Punch' (among other games) wherein one person remains seated with their arm outstretched, hand closed in a fist. And then the other person ran as FAST as he could into said fist, effectively punching himself. There was also the game Look Out, Ouch, and Fuzzy Bunnies. Oh, and Ax Throw, that one was very popular. It was VERY funny to watch, but now we're all old so we sit around the fire and drink wine and tell dirty jokes.
Homicidalheathen Posted September 12, 2008 Author Posted September 12, 2008 yah well, I have been known to answer the call of my inner stupid on occasion (usually when drunk) dare me, i jast dare ya...cause i will do it... quote Closing in they throw punches and swing elbows before crashing to the mat to grapple as the crowd cheers them on. One slips a hand free and sends a jolt of several thousand volts into his opponent's ribs to end the fight. Two more fighters quickly take their place, swinging hefty sticks, thwacking, punching and head-butting one another in a brutal battle accompanied by the rhythmic thumping of drums.
