Greetings to all, I am Darkangeljoyofillusion, I just joined your site. I will be coming to your lovely city for a week-end away from work. I am looking for some cool Gothic Clothing stores in your area. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I would love to see all that Detroit has to offer. Who knows maybe we will see eachother at the Club. Thanks for your help, ~A~

aj@americanteamwork.net Please feel free to give some direction. Thanks a lot!!

Thanks for the info, I was looking forward to finding some cool places in Detroit since I am from New Mexico. I will be in Detroit for the week-end coming up. I am going to check out City Club on Sat. Are you a regular for Sat night? and is the club cool or what?

Go to Royal Oak, see Noir Leather, :) it's groovy.. there's Incognito there, not so gothy more uber trendy but really cool and there's a few other places in Royal Oak defo worth the shopping...like Ivy's Custom Corsetry and then there's Showtime.. they have rockstar stuff.

When are you planning on being in Detroit? Hopefully the weather will be agreeable. :) I'll try and plan on going to CC that weekend if you post in the "are you going" thread. :)

Thanks Hunhee, I will have to check out the places that you have mentioned. Somebody else has suggested Noir leather as well, it sounds like a good place to start. I would love to meet you so if you see me dont hesitate to say hi or kick me in the shinns. LOL You should be able to see my profile I did post a pic, but it's not showing up on my posts yet. Glad to find friends of the night that are so helpfull, I owe you a drink!!

      About to head up to Roseville to return this rental and pick up my truck from the auto shop.  It is supposedly sporting a newly fabricated frame rail...I don't think they are referred to as "chassis" anymore as I see the confusion in shop owner's eyes when they ask me if I'm looking for "body work?".   But I do find it interesting that I told the owner that I worked direct with OEM parts and yet he still wrote me up an invoice with overpriced OEM parts from companies I used to host at the place I used to work for.  With that said, I'm expecting a stellar job for the amount I paid.   ...else, there will be some talk negotiations.

      ~~~~~ Definitely wishing you luck.  Do enjoy yourselves.   But I have to admit, the first thing that came to mind was does roadside assistance reach the desert? 😬
      ~~~~~ Yeah, it's like something happened to my metabolism this past Winter and when I came out of hibernation, that AARP Join Request started looking like something to check into.

      This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...
