i just checked my neighborhood again to see if anything changed

6 TOTAL RECORDS

were found. not too many thankfully but any is too many i know. :(

and none of them live right by me either.

there are 82 in my city =( big jump from the last time i was at the site.

but i noticed they added information about what they did on there like one said "w/ intent to penitrate, another said possion of abusive material towards children, etc..... atleast they gave me a clue if the person was a chester or pee'er.

The good thing none of them live with in the area i let my kids roam.

yeah i was just trying to figure out exactly what it is that this guy i know did. all i could get out of it was that he had "contact" of some sort. not sex or anything like that. what is that supposed to mean??? could that even mean he was with a minor, willingly somehow but since they were a minor he is on that list now anyways? does it work like that? can you make it on the sex offenders list just by being with someone underage in any way shape or form?

i am not sure but what i have gathered is a person say 16 yrs old can have sex with a 13 yr old and be a sex offender, even though they are both underage, I believe michigan law states the age of concent for sex is 16 yrs old as long as the sex happens between two people of the same age, so if you were say 20 and had sex with a 16 yr old you would be a sex offender even thought that 16 yr old can concent legally to sex they are still a minor. I am not sure i may have it wrong but when i read about this that is how i took there meanings of everything.

That is so wrong to me. I want to know about the DANGEROUS people and as far as I'm concerned these people aren't in the same category as someone who would prey on a small child. They at least should not be listed on the same page.

My zip code lists 65 people. Pretty scary. It doesn't really matter in the end though because you have to be watching your children ALL the time. Seems a lot of times it's someone in the family or a close friend.

I trust very few people around my children.

i edited out my posts but basically yeah after reading further on him it looks like what he did might have been even something as touchihng someone on the boob at a bar and getting charged for it. i really dont think people like that should be in the same list as someone who rapes a 13 year old or who fondles small children. i dont think any sexual misconduct is acceptable but i do think that say flashing someone is not that same as forcing sex on them.

the first time i saw the list i saw it printed out at the police department and they only listed what degree, as a citizen not knowing all the in and out of such things i asked the cop alot of questions so i knew from the begiing that some one may have got caught urininating in public place and still be on the list withte the child molesters. The list i just saw atleast had a small description for what each person did and you can get a feel for what probally happen.

And i agree you do have to watch your children around your own family/friends as much as stranger if not more, for the simple fact as those who are close are less threating as they are generally viewed as more trustworthy or scary by the adults and the children.
