A possible new form of airport security

Any sentence with the line "It may seem Orwellian," followed by the line "Department of Homeland Security" gets too big middle fingers from me.

I was thinking the same thing. I know one guy who almost vomits during every takeoff because flying really makes him anxious.

And what if I'm getting scanned and just happen to see a hot chick walk by? The chemical flush would certainly spike my anxiety levels.

<< B. "Angel" Barracus (a nickname a former employer gave me years ago) HATES large commercial flight planes in the first place! I'm certain my reading would come up similar to that of a drug mule or terrorist!

I usually spend at least an hour in "Cheers" before take-off, consuming large quantities of liquid courage. This one has to be completely inebriated, and dosed with Xanax or Valium, to fly on a large aircraft!! They make me dreadfully nervous. The fact that I've had recurring nightmares about being in a jet-plane wreck since I was a baby hasn't helped.

This phobia made it extremely difficult, when I used to frequently travel internationally. I've always preferred private planes to commercial flights, as there is more personal contact with the pilot (which makes me feel safer).

Anyhow, I sure don't like the idea of being "scanned" at the airport! Thumbs down!! The amount of security rigmarole at airports these days is enough to set anyone's nerves on edge, as it is!

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. — A scene from the airport of the future: A man's pulse races as he walks through a checkpoint. His quickened heart rate and heavier breathing set off an alarm. A machine senses his skin temperature jumping. Screeners move in to question him.

Signs of a terrorist? Or simply a passenger nervous about a cross-country flight?

OK... this'll keep me flagged & grounded... do you have any clue what my "NORMAL" anxiety level is???

Just below fight or flight.

FUCK...& I was saving for a trip to the Europe....I'll have to take a boat I guess...
