Generally speaking if one has a problem, admitting takes a lot of the power away from the problem... I admit that I am addicted to sugar, does that make me stronger or weeker because I said that?

Everyone is racist to a degree whether they admit it, like it, hate it, or are trying to change it....

I'm not sure everyone is a racist. Me personally, I find I have a tendency with my "customers" for lack of better phrase.

White - never hesitate to deal with them.

Black- never hesitate to deal with them.

Hispanic - never hesitate.

Asian - never encounter them lol.

Middle Eastern - I HATE doing business with them. Cultural differences give me a migraine. I find that the vast majority of them are combative and seem to enjoy being combative. One of them, an Iraqi born man told me "My people, it's part of our culture to haggle. It has been for thousands of years. It's what we do. Even if we know we are getting the best deal, we still like to try. It's never personal, it's just how we do business".

Am I racist, because I hate doing business with them for the above mentioned reason? Outside of work, I bear no ill will toward any of them...but at work....I loathe the process.

and one of the main ways that people try to deal with their guilt is to say that EVERYONE is the same way...doesn't make it the truth, or right...Everyone does not HATE other people for ethnic backgrounds or skin color...because everyone isn't that ignorant...and thats what racial hate is mostly...ignorance.

I hate other reason's to hate certain people that have nothing to do with their skin color or racial background. I hate some of the people I have worked with BECAUSE of their perosnal work habit, but that has nothing to do with skin color or ethnicity, because I know people of the SAME color or ethnicity that are amazing workers. I hate some people because of their hate towards other races, but there are people of their race that don't harbor that....and I don't hate them.

IF you are to hate...hate for the actions of a person...Hate for the personality...Hate for the ignorance.....but don't Hate for skin color or ethnicity, creedance or ideals.

My "racists" feelings towards Mexicans manifests itself as a slightly lower level of trust toward a person of Mexican decent than if they were of any other race. I do my best to ignore those feelings and give them the trust I would anyone else. So, I have been seen along the highway lending my tools and hands to a Mexican man so he could and I could fix his car and get his family back ont he road.

I too have had horrible business and personal dealings with men (only so far, no women) of Asian or mid eastern decent.

It has made me leery...a bit bitter...but I hold out hope that one day I will come across someone of either of the mentioned persuasions that treats me decent and so I will continue to try to extend the hand of friendship and trust although I am very cautious now.

I have also had bad dealings with people of white or black ethnic origin but at least I could see it coming and/or understand where they were coming from.

I met this guy who was beyond anyone I have ever known spiritually...he was black.

Thats about it. Which begs the question... How do we deal with it?

Should we go GFP's route? Pretend it doesn't exists? Turn a blind eye? Or should we just shoot everyone that shows any form of predjudice? Round them all up and put them in work camps?

What about people who hold racists feelings but want to change? Treat them just like we do the most hard core members of the Black Panthers or KKK?
