"...the rancher noticed his sheep were injured..." oh gawd, I don't even wanna think about the details of that.

Me neither, poor sheep, its never ceases to amaze me on what you will find on Yahoo news,IMO this should have been left out.

This state sure is full of redneck goobers.

Disgusting, and I have to agree with the point that was made.... it's not a very affective thing to not put them 'on the radar' and that they most likely WILL do things like that to people too.

Poor sheep...

They have feelings too T-T

Ha! I'm glad he won the appeal just because it's a poke in the eye to PETA.

Your PETA bashing constantly is getting kind of old. You've expressed your opinion numerous times in previous threads, you don't need to flaunt it and shove it in people's faces constantly. It's bad form. It's one thing to hate an organization, but this article didn't even mention PETA. It's sad to think you'd rather have justice NOT take place just to get back at an extremist organization such as PETA. There are some kind hearted moral individuals on here who love animals and I'm one of them, hell I love animals more than people because people don't deserve my love....

They do things like rape sheep. And all people are parasites, imo. The only people I help is children. This guy should have definately made the sex offender's list AND fucked in his ass...HARD. Fucking disgusting.

Did you read the article? One third of the word count is qoutes from PETA.

If you don't like my posts about PETA, do what I do when you are making fun of fat people... I skip past it.

Martin Mersereau, director of the cruelty casework division for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, expressed dismay at the ruling.

"I think the appellate court is being too literal in interpreting the letter of the law," he said. "It seems in this case, it's an issue of what's good and right being constrained by verbiage. I believe their hands are tied in that regard, so I can't blast them for that, but at the end of the day the community will suffer if people who abuse animals sexually aren't on the radar."

Mersereau said people who sexually abuse animals often do the same to humans.

"It seems about a dozen times a year we hear of cases involving people who sexually abuse a child, who have in the past done the same to a dog," he said. "The two go hand in hand, and any time the law does not help contribute to the awareness of a predator in their midst, the community suffers."

I'm just against the entire concept of a sex offenders registry. While we're at it, let's make all Jews wear a yellow Star of David and all adulterers have to wear a Scarlet Letter. I thought the idea of prison was for punishment and/or rehabilitation. When the sentence is done, the crime has been paid for, the the registry continues to punish the offender. No other criminal has to register. There is no murderers registry, burglars registry, trespassers registry, drug dealers registry, etc. That's discrimination if you ask me.

A very good point.
