its completely logical its for oil. its just for oil 10 years from now. and the iraq war was not about 9/11 or war on terror. they had these plans written up since 98 to finish off saddam..... and most wars have a bigger motive then idiology or harboring terrorists. land, and natural reasources play a big part in most any war.

peak oil is a big issue for the amarican goverment. and with china competing more and more for oil, we whould have to have our very own super giant to play with to stay afloat.

Please please please.. never bring Iraq/Hussein and 9/11 together again. Even if it's for a denial.

Anyone in the world who can honestly tell me that they believe 9/11 and Iraq are connected, I swear I will kill them. Dead.. murdered.. no longer among the living.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!

That has a bit of a half-joking tone to it so it'll hold. But honestly keep the physical threats to a minimum even in jest. It is one of the few things that can legally (literally and legally) cause trouble for a board that knowingly allows such things. Not just from a drama standpoint, but from a real-life legal standpoint.

Goth u know I love you and all, its just that that particular kind of thing is dangerous to let go unchecked for any "business" (even if its one that never makes a penny... ever, ever, EVER. lol) that wants to stay around.

Back to the topic at hand...

War targets are heavily encouraged by what resources the targets may or may not have. If you have a large number of potential enemies and only so much power to go after them, all things being equal you go after the one that you have the most to gain from by taking out. The middle east has long been a more attractive target when there is "trouble" (or seems to be) there for us due to our need for their resources.

We don't care so much about areas of Africa (as an example) and all the bad shit that goes down there because their resource pile is typically very low and our gain other than "moral satisfaction" is often very low. Sad but true.

That isn't really a knock against how things are done, its just more of an acknowledgment of reality.
