Remember SETI@Home, well here's another program based on the same principle from IBM. It's designed to utalize grid computing to help develop medical cures and such. In my opinion it is much more worh my CPU's time than SETI@Home, but that's just me.

This is not all that new... The Grid has been around for a few years... I have used it off and on (when I remember to reinstall after I redo a machine) since 2001. I was a part of their Anthrax study that was project to last a year and was finished in under 3 months due to the amount of cpu's lended to them...

New to me. Just yesterday I was thinking "Hey, I should install one of those services that uses idle computing time for good" but didn't know which one to choose.
