cptdeath Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 i like luis pasteur. I have often stated he was my favorite. I was the only guy on the budweiser tour that new luiy not only created the pasturization prosses but was responsable for the discovery that micro- organisms were the couse of illnes. he then went on to create the vaccine. curing anthrax cholera and making the most significant advancemeant in medical technology of all time. Not to mention the greatest inovation in getting drunk next to refrigeration, Pasturization. His face is on the wall in saint luis right next to anheiser bush in the halls of the budweiser factory. Did you know the discovery of bread was an accidental byproduct of early bear production. did you know ale with a low alchohal was used in place of water in mideavil times as water made folks sick (bacteria yet undiscovered). the scientific mind is to be reveared. who is responsable for the discoveries you appreciate. I like carver too. a botonist. a doctor AA Brill, student of sigmond freud who didn't spend 20 years addicted to cocaine, Brill spent his entire life helping any case that did not fall into normal external medicine from 1860 to 1930. i like tesla alot too. but i have been saying luis pasteur is my favorite for years.

Guest Megalicious Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 See my signature. Proving that life is not just "spontaneous" is pretty important. Not to mention other things.....
Guest Megalicious Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 i like louis pasteur. You rule. that is all.
Guest Megalicious Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Galileo is up there, just do to the fact that he wrote so that other people could understand, fluidly, like a astronomy in sonata form, just fucking beautiful. Newton, though I also want to kick him in the ass for just the opposite of why I love Galileo, he wrote so that only scholars could understand, not really wishing to "share it" with "common" people. But the man was a genius. Huygens-for proving Newton wrong (sort of LOL). Boyle A great many more I can't remember. Edited to say:Archimedes! (how the hell could I forget him *kicks self*)
Shade Everdark Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Galileo. Schrodinger. John Bardeen, William Shockley, and Walter Brattain. 1956 Nobel Laureates in Physics for their invention, in 1947, of the transistor.

Would'nt he be cool to bullshit with for a while? I wonder what things i could convince him to explore next for me, hate to waste such talent. he could produce alot more with the right motivation. I like that guy he's cool as hell
Head Wreck Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Tesla. just because he was batshit crazy in the end with an ever expanding hubris bordering on that of an evil genius such as myself
