Homicidalheathen Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 FERNDALE, Mich. (Map, News) - An adult education student has been charged with threatening to burn his teacher a day after asking her if she was a witch. Darin Najor's class at Taft Education Center in Ferndale, Mich., had been studying Arthur Miller's 1953 play "The Crucible," the Detroit Free Press and The Daily Tribune of Royal Oak reported Wednesday. The play is based on the 1692 Salem witch trials that saw about 20 people hanged. Najor, 20, is accused of tossing some type of liquid on the teacher last month. Najor said he was trying to purify her with holy water, Ferndale police detective Ken Denmark told The Daily Tribune. ------------------------------------------- i told someone, this is why i didnt go to pagan pride, i have lost jobs over my spiritual beliefs and am BACK in the BROOM CLOSET for the most part no media photos for me
Rev.Reverence Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 WOW...water is technically assult ya' know...I woulda' smacked the shit out of that kid...
jynxxxedangel Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 I'm careful about the sorts of people with whom I intimate my ceremonial beliefs, these days. If I don't get the, "ONOZ, you're a devil worshipper!" reaction, then I usually get a barrage of prying questions thrown upon me, to attempt answering (in simple terms a non-pagan might understand). I've found it's just better not to mention one's spiritual beliefs, whatever they may be, around the hoi polloi. To be a school teacher, and even mention one's paganism is just setting oneself up for disaster and torment. Was she going for shock value, or did she just have a momentary lapse of reason?
TitsMcGee Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 According to the AP The day before the dousing, Najor had asked the teacher whether she believed in witchcraft, police said. She told him she did not, calling Arthur Miller's play based on the 1692 Salem witch trials a metaphor for unjust persecution. "The suspect threw his homework papers on the floor and declared it was all blasphemy," Denmark said. "The next day he came up behind her chanting what sounded like religious verses while she was working at her desk." That kid needs some serious therepy
