Goth Brooks Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I think he was asked to leave the private property of a private university. Your rights to free speech do not extend to private property, just the same as your right to free speech do not extend to this private forum. Furthermore, a lot of cities have noise ordinances, your right to free speech and to peaceably assemble to not give you the right to violate that. I would've cited him for using that damn bullhorn.
peelingchrome Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 and put down a major political protest the third week Gee, I just can't WAIT until they get the Army in here! That way the police can go back to dealing with other, more valuable, victimless crimes like the War on Drugs! We can haz freedomz?
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Just do a search for "Obama Truth Squads". It may open your eyes a bit.
Rev.Reverence Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Just do a search for "Obama Truth Squads". It may open your eyes a bit. Didn't you have a thread on that this week? While I saw nothing against the law happen; & I fully agree with the bullhorn guy's vision/expression... ..the whole thing reeks of Stygian Manipulation of the letter of the law; held higher than the spirit of the law.. .....but that is just how I smell it.
n0Mad Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Here's an interesting article. Granted, it's on a GOP website so of course the opinion is one sided, but it's an interesting read. I'm also trying to find a video somewhere of a different amendment violation. Hands up! You're under arrest for saying 'Hussein Obama!'

Homicidalheathen Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 ...well the majority of the crowd WAS happy to see him go even if he DID have a good point...coarse i would not be in attendance, so...who am i to judge
Rev.Reverence Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 We can haz propagandaz? From all sides...till we are overfull..& then...just a little more.
n0Mad Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 4th Amendment violated in Indiana. Notice the cop's use of the phrase, "Well if you have nothing to hide then what's the problem?" *sigh* target="_blank

Notice the cop's use of the phrase, "Well if you have nothing to hide then what's the problem?" *sigh* target="_blank I would like to point out that this is completely different from the OP. This man, whether or not he was violating any laws, was in the right. The woman admitted to not having probable cause, he told her to stay off his property and she entered it against his wishes.

I don't think so. I did post about ACORN.
TitsMcGee Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 This is ridiculous, the guy did nothing wrong and if they wanted to charge him for using the bull horn because of the noise they needed to charge everyone since they were being louder than him. Also since the campus was hosting a public forum they cannot kick people out for trespassing in my opinion, since it defeats the purpuse of a public forum.
