We spread some of (our Queen) Caroline's husband Ken's ashes at festival this year in his memory and he has actually been seen at festival a few times... fleeting glances.

I think its a nice tribute, although i would be worried about breaking the container.

The jewelry's pretty.

Not sure I would ever use it for its intended purpose though.

I slept in the same bedroom as my grandparent (still in their UPS shipping boxes) a couple weekends ago when I stayed over at my parents.

The next morning my dad was like 'I meant to ask you if you were uncomfortable with the remains of your dead grandparents in the room, but I forgot. You weren't, were you?'

Well, uh, not til you said something!!!

Got the 25K that it would cost? That's about how much the going rate is for a decent sized diamond. *sighs* Yeah, not happening any time soon.

Although, I did threaten my parents if they died together, I'd make them into earings and my brother into a necklace (he's still in my parents desk drawer).

My Dad sits in his Urn on my dresser. Has since the day we brought him home. I'll show you a pic of if as soon as my camera batteries charge.

My sister wears a small vial of Dad's ashes around her neck all the time and my brother has one hanging from the handle bars of his motorcycle that we made from a miniature bottle of Jim Beam and strips of leather from Dad's cowboy boots.

Thats Dad's resting place. Thats also his last bottle of Jim Beam, there was exactly 3 shots left in it when he died. One for each of us kids. Wow, I need to dust him off.

I have a silver...well, I'm not sure what to call it. It's more elaborate than a crucifix, but doesn't have beads, so I wouldn't call it a rosary. Anyway, it has a jewel in the center made from the ashes of the roses covering the casket at my grandma's funeral. My cousin picked it out and surprised me with it a few weeks after the funeral. I really like it, even though though I don't consider my self a Christian at all. My grandma was, so it's fitting. It's always been a conversation piece when I've worn it.
