Draco1958 Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Well, I lost my job last week. Because the company is going in a new direction. They want to bring in a management couple and pay them the salary of 1 manager but expect both to work 40hrs each. Which means other than getting an apartment above the business as part of their salary, they will make $175 gross each week. Yeah pay bills, have a car on that. Freakin cheapskates. So not only a job loss, but the pic area I hoped we could use is gone, can't borrow the bosses car just to run a simple errand let alone get to CC. Can't fix the caddy now. Life f'n sucks. So now I get to try to find a job with no car, pay rent, try to socialize. Oh yeah, gonna be a fun rest of the year. And now it's even more of a push to get roommates here to help with bills.
Guest greyhalo Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I'm sorry to hear that. It's a rough situation. Would you consider moving out of state?

Currently don't have a working car so would need to find something local making enough to pay rent and fix car. Roommates would help with that. I have considered moving out of state but doing so would screw over my friend who I share a house with.

I'm looking for jobs out of state myself right now. But, it has more to do with me not liking MI weather.

Guest greyhalo Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 goto nebraska, theres a shitload of jobs there... I'm looking at particular states and cities right now, as I won't just move anywhere. I'm also looking for a very particular type of position that is only prevalent in large library cooperatives. I like the idea of being in the South. I've lived there in the past. Nebraska is not for me.

Draco1958 Posted November 5, 2008 Author Posted November 5, 2008 try this its free http://www.roommates.com/?adv_id=9 Thanks for the info. However due to a changing circumstance, my buddy and I may not have a place to stay now. We may have to find an apartment in the area. So while waiting to find out about that situation, finding a job near me so I can walk to work, no car at the moment, getting cheated out of 2 weeks pay(although this has been corrected) and other problems, I'm starting to have bad thoughts again. I need to get my thought pattern straightened out. Have considered moving out of state but being 50, I'm not sure I can handle starting over somewhere else, hunting for a job and place to live. I'm too set in my ways and comforts in this area. And I have o find homes for some cats. Can't keep them all, especially now. Seems when it rains it pours and you get hit by lightening.
