jynxxxedangel Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Sharpie pen Michelangelo What a neat idea!!
Msterbeau Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Link is working right. Here ya go: http://www.heraldleaderphoto.com/2008/09/1...rth-of-sharpie/ That's cool. It just goes to show you that it's not the tools but the artist that matter most.
n0Mad Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 We need to get that guy to decorate City Club with silver sharpies on the black walls.
aequorea Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 WOW. i am impressed that, although the concept started with a single wall, the entire room fits together as a single piece. i could draw pictures on my walls, but i don't think i could manage that! i also like the way he incorporated cream-colored furniture and the mantel, then drew on them too... Hmm... you know, i have been thinking about refinishing my basement...
Destroit Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Wow, that's impressive, especially since he did that all free hand.
Msterbeau Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Wow, that's impressive, especially since he did that all free hand. That's the tough part. Free hand with no "mistakes". I'm assuming he did some sketches first and then redrew them full scale on the walls.

Eevee Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 I wonder how many times he got a high from the fumes...
Msterbeau Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 I was thinking the same thing. He probably used an art projector. Maybe. Some people can do it freehand.
sass_in_the_pants Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 How cool. Also, I think I noticed an R2D2 garbage can in the corner...but I could be mistaken.
jynxxxedangel Posted November 2, 2008 Author Posted November 2, 2008 How cool. Also, I think I noticed an R2D2 garbage can in the corner...but I could be mistaken. You certainly did. The artist renovated a flip-top rubbish can, using the Sharpies. This art really has me thinking about doing some mural work in my home. I would like to transform my kitchen into a Zone 4 garden, complete with native insects and spiders. I'm already looking into buying an art projector.
