Tragedy. That's the best (worste) word I can think of to describe Tuesday.

The American people were duped into this "dream" canidate by the media, Hollywood, Oprah, and The View. It is unfortunate that so many sheep did noting but go along with "what everyone else" was doing. No one did any research on Obama, and if they did and tryed to make a deal over it, they were labled a racist.

But this is what the media wanted. And thats what happened. I was happy to see that 48% of the vote was for McCain. It's not that I was necessarily for McCain, though I did vote for him, it was a vote ment to be agaisnt the establishment of Obama.

All of these trendy elitests voted for Obama because TV told them to. Because the fluffs at the local Starbucks told them to, because everyone wanted to feel good about electing a black man. The very same people that want someone's race to be an excluding factor on decision making made this election all about race.

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."

Obama was CLEARLY elected on the color of his skin and NOT the content of his character. Anyone that looked into Obama's character would not have voted for him...

Just more kool-aid for the sheep.

Bye bye Freedom. See ya in 4 years if the public WAKES UP.

I don't think there is any sense crying over it now.

Obama stayed calm cool and collected.

He stayed on message; the Wrong message, but he stayed on message nonetheless.

McCain, at times, was all over the map with his thoughts on what he'd do for the economy.

McCain wasn't exactly a livewire for most of the campaign, he pepped up towards the end.

Say what you will, but, Sarah Palin was largely responsible for generating that 48% of the vote.

If McCain had picked some boring old guy like Leiberman, then not only would McCain have lost, but IMO it would have been a landslide loss.

The Republican party needs to cut out all the divisive in-fighting and regain focus.

I can see how people could say that Obama won, largely because he's black.

Just to clarify, Obama is half black and half white; his dad was black, his mom was white.

I voted for McCain because of Sarah Palin.

But, Obama is in now. It's time for him to sink or swim, and I have a feeling that he knows that.

The economy being in the shape its in, I have a feeling that the Democrats realize that they now actually have to show up and do their job and they can't fuck around anymore. At least I hope they know this.

The logo for the Democrat party has a jackass in the center of it for a reason.

What really sank McCain was the fact the mainstream media, was and probably at least for now, is still in the tank for Obama and the Democrats.

Breaking through that proved to be pretty much impossible for McCain/Palin.

Obama really hammered McCain as another George Bush, and that message resonated...obviously.

The only time McCain & Palin got their message heard properly on the mainstream media outlets was when they did interviews. Oh and yeah, the Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric interviews were complete bullshit IMO.

Think about this though, the Republicans should take notes on anything and everything that the Democrats fuck up on over the next 4 yrs. Then when election time comes up again, they can take all the facts that they collected, and rub the Democrats' noses in them.

Personally, I think Obama is in over his head, has bit off more then he can chew, but he has to produce now though since he's drivin the bus.

*note* I am in Independant voter btw.

I think that this is going to go alot worse than his voters and supporters planned. Not to say that he is socialist or anything but he seems to lean that way and I do not like it at all. If socialism could work in a real life situation I would love it but the sad fact of the matter is that it will not work. People are going to take advantage of Obamas health care plan and such. This country was build by people we were able to tell if you were working hard to better yourself or if you were just looking for a free ride. I would like to help everybody out just like Obama but that is no way to start someone on the path of upward mobility.

I hate to say it but the fact that Obama is black, yeah its only part black, was a bigger factor that it needed to be. I mean that way too many people voted for him with this as a reason. I don't care who is in office as far as race, sex, whatever... but the one thing that I do want is a sense of reality. Obama and his strangely zombie like followers lack this. Sure, I would want world peace and all those things that they strive for but sadly, some of these things are never going to happen and the others, well, while they may become reality we have yet to find the right way to accomplish the goals.

Hope can be a killer...

i think future elections are going to get a lot worse. i was unhappy with both tickets. but propaganda through high funding has created a democracy controlled bye who can reach more demographics. who can get there message across to more people. and the fact that what if both candidates has to much dirt on them to be trustable. and the fear that a third candidate is to unknown and whould just help the greater of the two evils.

first of i dont think capitalism should enter into it.theres no common ground to equalize it, specially in the primaries where someone can tap into a huge lobbyist, or there own personal wealth to get there message out better then there opponents. its capitalism for presidency. a philosophy that shouldnt be. it supports bribery in the form of donations.

this capitalism type way has hindered third party to be viable. only those who seek all the options will look them up even. they should have the option to have there voice known. basicly i dont want bribery(i mean money) be the huge factor for campaigning. it creates unfair advantages.

the media being partisan also creates a effect on the winner. and they will make sure good info gets above bad info and there very good at it. the media will use blaming the other team as a way to avoid having obama or mc cain answer a question or having a bad mark in peoples minds. and also choose who not to talk about, like third party candidates. its not who has the better message as much as who has the bigger voice. who can deny without anyone questioning it. obama takes the cake with slyness i believe. he was sly, he had the media backing him, he had the last president to accuse (which is unclassy, and just plain rude as hell) if i was bush id slap him one for that

I would really love an investigation into Obama's campaign moneys. I mean, we have all these laws on who can and can not give to a political campaign... and then we have Obama's main fund raising website breaking a shit load of those laws... and no one seems to care.

This election was bought and paid for by the media and the elitists left.

This maybe true.... (and this is not a slant) But it seems to be that the left picked up and did what the right has been doing for years (except maybe without the Carl Rove stuff)

isnt there a parabol in the bible on this. something about a plank and blaming people with wood. and you know planks fitting into peoples eyes somehow. i think we should just take the planks out of there eyes and beat all of them, and elect a liberal/socialist/conservative robot programed with only the core values of each party. oh and it should be constitutional always, and the source code should be put out in public and a independent team selected bye random of 20 from a list of 30 thousand programmers, go in and check to see if tampering has been made. cause the human race cant be trusted bye humans.

we will call it robocracy.

Actually, according to every election analysis I have read.. Obama ran his campaign by following Carl Rove's play book, except Obama added the ability for people to donate money without having to prove who they were.

& Do you really think the Prez has enough power to do any significant harm.....

I don't blame Bush for ruining the economy.....I blame all the douche bags in government seats.....

McCain is a blathering idiot.....Like Bush & I personally would rather an educated Man speak for this country than some guy who can't often complete a thought.....

& Obama was voted in because he is black????? WTF?!?!?

That is the most absurd thing I have heard all week.....

If anything that is why McCain actually got so many votes, because of all the racist fuck-tards that just didn't want a black man in office.....

Are you people upset that Obama doesn't have a shady past like McCain?????

That's fucked up.....I can not understand this point of view.....But that's OK cuz I am sure you can't see why I would be against it.....

Give the guy a chance for pete's sake.....

He has a hell of a mess to try to clean up & anything bad that is going to ripple from Bush's time in office is going to blamed on Obama.....

Get over it people.....He has been elected.....

Attitudes like some peoples here is what scares Me.....Attitudes like this are the reason He should fear for his life.....

It is sad..... :no

Couple of points...

Many people have admitted to voting for him because he is black. It was the Black Panthers that were blocking a polling place and telling people that a Black man was getting elected, no matter what.

Shady past? Obama's past is completly in the shade. I have never seen anyone shine a light on it. People have come close... but are always shut down because when they do get close.. things are not so pretty... Racists Church, Terrorist friends, membership in marxists groups, Saul Linsky and other very anti-USA groups come up. Not to mention his chosen groups theat he supported... education reform thats emphasis was on how the USA is a bad place and needs to go away instead of of teaching the kids things like math and science.

BTW... one of the major players in the current financial melt down was/is Obama. Fanny May/Freddie Mac lobbists have given him more money in his short time in Congress than anyone else ever.

All the blame for the current financial crisus can be pinned on a short list of people... Bill Clinton, Obama, Pelosi, Kerry, Dodd, and Frank. All democrats... All pushing thier political might to get sub-prime loans easyer to get. All taking money from the groups that give the loans. Barney Frank has $800,000 in interest free loans for pushing thier agenda.

But you are right... He is our next President. I'll stand with him until he isn't standing with me.

That article did have some truths to it but I still don't think that we can put blame on any one politician or any one party. The way things are we have at least two parties holding Washington by the balls at the same time. That means that anything that happens there is usually seen and voted on by both sides. Can we say for sure who is controling what? For all we know the Democrats were making all the moves and blaming them on Bush. For all we know there are no parties there is just a bunch of politicians that want to make us feel like we voted the "right" way or that we are on the "right" side. The only reason I have raised a stink about Obama is because he is different than all the other presidents. No, not because he is black or because he is really you and inexperienced, which by the way does count in the world of politics like it or not. He is just, well, creepy. He has a swagger, too much confidence, and is borderline European sleaze. There are just these qualities about him that give me this weird felling of doom. If Yoda were here he would definitely be feeling a disturbance in the force. I can't say for sure if he is good or bad it just seems like, as a person, I wouldn't want to be alone in a room with him or give him charge of my future. I would rather have people get the feeling that I was a dumbass than have them kissing my feet while I have a creepy grin on my face.

I don't know if that came out right it's just that I have trouble putting to words the way Obama makes me feel and he doesn't make me feel all too happy.
