Nightgaunt Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Found this post from Frater Fordwell over at Death By Lollipop. Opinions? Noticed it? I have. Is it simply a function of growing older? Are we, as a culture, race, planetary population - whatever - entering into a unique period or perhaps seeing the culmination of a cycle that's been repeated countless times? I'm really interested in everyone's thoughts, especially those of a "spiritual" bent... In time, we will forget all this. In time we will wither and fade as the passing sun rises and falls. In time there is little hope for much that still counts to the tune of the numbered time system. Have you felt it? I am most certain that the majority of you have. There is something odd about time these days. Events that we once held stressfully in our minds now pass as if it were any other day. No one thinks of the weekend as a safe haven from work anymore. Even the ridged workers appear to be slipping from the old time system. I am not saying that time has ended yet, but rather it has changed and all for the better. I don't think anyone really knows why time chose now to bugger off into the distance, but I think we will all be the better for it. Fnord.
Oh_My_Goth Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 I have noticed that since I was first able to recognize time passing..... It just keeps rolling on and the tide keeps changing..... Sometimes I wish I didn't see this as young as I did, but I suppose it has shaped who I am today..... I have found moving with the current is the best way to go for Me.....Change does not scare Me.....It is part of the beautiful chaos of the Universe.....I love this crazy wold most times.....
Oh_My_Goth Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 I thought I would look up some quote about time..... Here are some that caught Me eye..... “The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once.” -Albert Einstein “Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back.” -Harvey MacKay “Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” -Steve Jobs “Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you cannot get more time.” -Jim Rohn
