Doctor: Quiver!?

Resident: Apparently he was running around with a bow and arrows with tips shaped like hearts, and had wings as well. Shotgun blast to the abdomen.

Doctor: Where's the intern?

Nurse1: The intern and a nursing student were looking at the arrows in Trauma Bay 1.

*turns corner into Trauma Bay 1, sees intern and nursing student in passionate kiss and in various states of undress, both gripping a heart-shaped arrowhead*

*resident and attending facepalm*

Nurse1: ...um, the victim is in Trauma Bay 2.

Resident: Should we interrupt?

Doctor: Give him 20 minutes, then get him down to the OR.

*all but couple rush off to Truama Bay 2*

Resident: It was a long case. Security will be watching him 24/7...and would you stop that?

Intern (regaining composure): Well he could be worse...take the guy over there.

*points over to ICU bed. A poor soul is on full support, stable but weak. On the door of the room, the name, "Lovelife, S.K." Vital signs barely register. Mysterious woman, face unseen, holding hand of weakened patient as if it was the only thing keeping her going. Patient can be seen gripping her hand tightly*

Resident: Who is that woman that keeps holding on to that patient?

Doctor1: She is the one thing that keeps the patient going all this time. He has been declared dead a few times comes back to this. His prognosis is grim. But he holds on to her for dear life. . .

. . . Her name is Hope.
