Teaching/Discussing Porn in School?

Who would honestly care about reading what a porn critics thinks? What are they going to say really.. how it "moved" them or it was "oh so touching..literally?!" :laughing but I guess theres some out there who takes their porn seriously and this would be the course for them - heh

Sounds like an interesting class... as it's described, it doesn't sound substantially different from the "subliminal seduction" classes that were big in the '80s. It certainly doesn't say anything about critiquing or reviewing actual adult films or literature. I imagine this course deals with how ideas about what is or isn't considered pornographic have changed over time... a lot of mainstream entertainment & advertising nowadays would've been considered pornographic 40 years ago.

So thats where I got it from cuz you can't read the negs unless they teach the povs comments so thats why I figured they would have a mix of both.

I didn't say that very well... what I should've said is it sounds like they will be looking at criticism of the genre as a whole, in the sense of social commentary, rather than critique of individual works, in the sense of film criticism or review.

Sorry, I was helly pedantic long before I became a teacher!

I guess if it's one more pottery elective or porn...some might go with porn, but personally I can't take this as a serious credit other than an elective credit. *snickers*
