Feel free to put in any input...I'm slightly confused over here. :[

I don't understand why -my- fish keeps dying.

For the past month or so, I've been keeping two moor fish at a time. One being my boyfriends, the other being mine.

They've got all the right food. The right water temps, a nice living environment...

everything.

But one silly thing keeps happening. Although my boyfriends fish continues to me happy, spazzy and fat...

My fishes keep on dying.

They're the same breed and everything.

Three of mine have died so far, and his is still alive and kicking from the beginning.

We've gotten all of the fish from the same petstore and everything, and mine are usually fine and healthy for about a week or so at a time, but then they kick the bucket and I flush them.

It's making me quite sad. D:

Get a new fish for your boyfriend. LOL. I think you may just have the fish curse. I'm like that with plants. No matter what I do ....

This just sucks major ass though. XD

I think the fishies are so cute. But maybe I'm just super cursed.

I just don't know why his is still alive! :[

Black moores can be very aggressive and territorial. How big is the tank they're in?

Try using spring water, rather than tap water. ;)

Ditto better yet use purified it don't cost that much and I've had snails live long after they should be dead with purified.

not sure on US water. but if its tap water filter it and let it sit for a day or two before dropping the fish in

That doesn't actually do anything. You need ot use a water conditioner, and the water has to go through a nitrate cycle, which takes 6-8 weeks. However, if you already have a fish in the tank, it's likely that the tank is cycled. For a black moor, you need at least 10 gallons per fish.

prob something wrong with your water...yup

Yeah. I've been using gallons of distilled water every time I change the tanks. And I've also been putting a water purifier liquid in it that makes it safe for fish instantly.

So thus I'm pretty sure the water's fine, especially since one of the moor's is still alive and quite healthy.

It's only a 3 gallon tank, but the guy that works with the fish at the place I bought them at said it's be fine for the two because they're really young-But when they get bigger to upgrade to a larger tank size.

Distilled water actually isn't great for them. There are minerals in regular water that are necessary for their survival. The best bet is to use tap water with a tap water conditioner.

Okay. :]

I'll keep that in mind.

If that's the case though, I'm not sure why one is still alive. :/

Alive isn't necessarily thriving. But it's good that he is indeed alive :)
