Detroit Erotic Arts Collaborative 2 - Models needed

I know a few of the ladies here are already shooting with local photographers so I thought I'd get the word out to them and any others (Men and women) interested in signing up for this event:

What: The Detroit Erotic Arts Collaborative (DEAC) is a unique closed event dedicated solely to the creation of fine art erotic photography. This includes, but is not limited to, nudes, fetish and bondage. The format is of the pre-scheduled trade variety in one hour intervals predetermined by the models and photographers prior to the event.

Who: Photographers and models 18+, from amateur to professional, are welcome, but only those screened for professional integrity will be allowed. This is not to be elitist, but due to the erotic nature of the DEAC, it is to ensure security within a professional and productive event. Makeup artists, hair stylists, fashion designers and fetish toy makers are also welcome.

When: There will be two days available for shooting...Saturday February 7 from noon to 8pm and Sunday February 8 from noon to 6pm. You can shoot as little or as much as you desire on either or both days. Check-in begins at 11am on both days until 5pm.

Where: The location will be in the Leland Hotel in downtown Detroit, MI. There are numerous rooms, levels, stairs and areas (mostly dilapidated) to shoot in privacy and will be closed to the general public. The shooting areas also include the City Club nightclub. Photographs of these areas can be viewed in the Venue Layout section.

NOTE - You will need to sign on to Model Mayhem or be willing to open up your Myspace page to interested photographers so they have a way to contact you and view your portfolio. Don't have a portfolio? You have a month to make one.

yeah, as much as I'd like to do this... I just don't have the time, or the means to go to it, or to make a portfolio for such.... lol

but it does sound really cool..... (if this is going on next year, and granted I haven't died from living on the street, I will surly put a reminder up, for myself, to make sure i can be ready for next year's....)

This is not a once a year thing. The first one was held in conjunction with Erotica in April. Then again in August but on a smaller scale after some messy venue changes. (From Leyland to Clutch Cargos in Pontiac) I think you can always count on it to be held at the same time as another significant art/fetish/erotica event, though.

I only had 7 pictures up when I signed up, have a whopping 8 now, haha, and my schedule is filling up fast considering I signed up less than 24 hours ago. I am looking forward to the awesome portfolio I will have after this event

Also... If you think you might have to work that weekend.. Don't do it. See above.

Marc's right,it is work too, a lot of planning. With such limited time and going shoot to shoot, it is important to have all the details for each one down, before hand. There is no time to waste, be ready to crank it out!

Absolutely! I am getting uber excited about all the great images I will be able to add to my portfolio after looking at the photographer's work I have agreed to work with thus far. Not to mention, just plain old, getting people to know who you are. Awesome networking opportunities. I am new, this is priceless to me.

I own nothing. I sold most of my cool stuff before my wedding. I need to accrue new stuff. I need corsets that fit (because Jeff feeds me well), and so on...

I would be down for it but already get erotic photography for free. and with my fibromialgia its hard for me to keep up hour after hour. besides, if it doesnt pay, Im not interested. only so many pictures can fit on a website lol
