DJ Saint Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 2009 is going to see all the big guns releasing new material... Assemblage 23 According to Tom - "There is indeed both a new album and single (on CD no less!) planned for release in fall of 2009. No actual recording has taken place just yet, but a lot of songs are currently being written and are close to being ready to be recorded. A title has been chosen, but won't be revealed until closer to the release date. No promises for sure, but there is a pretty strong possibility A23 will be playing new material at Montreals Kinetik festival should you want to get an early preview of the next album! There is a strong possibility that there will be a second volume of Assemblage 23's early, rare, and unreleased material on 23db Records. There's no firm release date yet, as it is one of many things being juggled at the moment, but tracks are being compiled." Apoptygma Berzerk New single "Apollo (Live on Your TV) out January 2009. Video clip here - New album "Rocket Science" soon to follow. Covenant Currently in the studio. Daniel Meyer of Haujobb is now an official member. No release date set, but expect it in 2009. They've been posting demos to their myspace site. Funker Vogt Double cd "Warzone K17 - Live in Berlin", which is going to be released in spring 2009. There will be an online release of the MCD "White Trash - K 17 Live Excerpt" which includes the 2008 re-arranged Versions of "Thanks for Nothing" and "Black Hole". Mesh from the band "spending more and more time in the studio trying our best to be creative in writing our forthcoming album. The ideas are starting to flow now and the finished tracks are sounding good." One of the new track is titled "Everything I made". Album will be out next year followed by a tour (Maybe US Dates?) Nitzer Ebb Signed with SPV. Production for the new Nitzer Ebb album has been completed with Flood having done the final mix of the material. Theres a documentary about the group forthcoming as well. Suicide Commando Working on new album to see release in 09. Also involved with side projects Lescure 13 and Kombat Unit. Expect a lot from Johan in 2009. VNV Nation Studio rebuilding is said to be complete. Ronan says "We are working on lot of things, including a new album and a tour in 2009." There's certainly a slew of other releases, but those are the biggies that came to mind.

I pretty much gave up on Apop after Harmonizer; if this is what they're on to now, I definitely have to get back on board. Thanks for the other news, too!
