Msterbeau Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Everyone of our legislators and the whole Bush administration should be shot over this. They tar and feather the auto execs and the banking industry gets away with almost no strings attached to their loans. And look what happens: http://freep.com/article/20081223/BUSINESS07/812230344 "WASHINGTON -- Think you could borrow money from a bank without saying what you were going to do with it? Well, apparently when banks borrow from you, they don't feel the same need to say how the money is spent. Advertisement After receiving billions in aid from U.S. taxpayers, the nation's largest banks say they can't track exactly how they're spending it. Some won't even talk about it."
Rayne Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 is anyone really surprised by this? Nope. Not a bit. I read it yesterday.
Der Nister Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 It's nice to find out exactly what kind of assholes are running the banks in this country. I always knew they were assholes but not which specific kind of assholes they were.
SaGa Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 so much for transperency on banks. so banks still dont know how bad there buddies are.
Reaper Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 I think that is a good part of the problem of why we are in this situation. Not just the housing market. I think the two are tied together though.
the eternal Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Just try that when applying for a loan. "I make $100,000" "No, I won't tell you I made it. No, I won't show you a paystub. No, I won't let you run my credit. Just give me the money and leave me alone" You have to sign 5000 diclosures when closing on a house, and we can't even ask what they're using BILLIONS of our tax dollars for?? Unbelievable. Any of those southern senators that complained about not enough concessions and regulation and accountability for the Big 3, but wrote a blank check to these banks should ashamed. It's so pathetic.
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 I really wish the Republicans would have ignored the hysteria and stuck to their opposition of this piece of shit. I wish McCain had pushed harder for over-sight to be included in it and I wish Obama would have not pushed so hard to pass what ever was put out there.

I already don't like Obama either, and he's not even in office yet . I heard many dems regret voting for him because of certain recent actions and stances. FOUR MORE YEARS everyone (what it's starting to look like to me)!
