honeymustard02 Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 She's not fixed and living in a house with two fixed males. My roomies cat (male) keeps biting her neck and mounting her but not actually DOING anything lol. Poor thing is all worked up and pissed off. I know the feeling!!!! lmao
Homicidalheathen Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 lol cat sexual frustrations get her the gerbil dildo...
EnViOuSPoPpEt Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 It has nothing to do with mating.. it's a dominance issue. The male cats are just showing her that they are the alphas. Also some neutered cats will try to mate but it's impossible since they have no testosterone left lol.
honeymustard02 Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 I know it's not always mating, but I feel bad because it gets her all revved up with no where to go.
TomCat Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I know it's not always mating, but I feel bad because it gets her all revved up with no where to go. Our unfixed kitty, Dust Bunny, is teh same way....caterwalling nonstop for days on end. It can get obnoxious!
Rev.Reverence Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 ...use a q-tip...that's what a vet does if you want to trick the female cat out of here cycle...
Onyx Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Definitely try to get your kitties fixed as soon as you are able to. Female cats can especially have problems from it with mammary, uterine and ovarian cancers. Kitty will live a much longer much healthier life and won't be miserable from those cycles , also much less likely to escape the house, roam and get hurt. I wish we had more vets that would do the low-cost neutering clinics. There are none at all on this side of the state. Way too many animals without homes due to overbreeding. I found if you shop around though the prices vary a lot. Some vets will do it for much less cost.

Unless you plan on them having a litter which prevents the problem, get them fixed.
