jynxxxedangel Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 ..and here I love these little guys, they never cease to amaze me. Probably the coolest, most unusual, most interesting pets I've ever owned.
Oh_My_Goth Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 That was really neat.. Thanks for sharing. I used to love looking at them when I was a kid, there were a bunch on me front porch all the time.. They are quite beautiful.
jynxxxedangel Posted January 8, 2009 Author Posted January 8, 2009 I can't think of a cooler animal, really. I often watched as Aragorn would signal to Arwen, but I had no idea this "drumming" was going on! I do know, however, that my spiders respond to music. I often sing and drum softly to my emerging spiderlings, to speed their journey. They especially seem to respond to the song, "This Magic Moment," by Jay and the Americans-- something about the "cha cha" rhythm of that song seems to spur them on.. The red and black jumpers in the vid appear to be a mutation of Phidippus johnsoni. I would like to have some of these, someday. ..wonder if that scientist belongs to any of the crawlie forums I'm on? *ponders*
