LA Splash- helly sweet makeup!

I discovered the LA Splash line on one of my rare forays into Ulta... they had the liquid eyeliner & mascara. I picked up two of the liners & it ROCKS... color and staying power comparable to Urban Decay at less than half the price! Gorgeous jewel-tone metallics, without too much glitter (which I think is unflattering on anyone over 30). They only had a few colors at Ulta, but the website has an outrageous range of colors for the liners, even more for the eyeshadow powder. I really want to try some of the eyeshadows, hate buying that sort of thing online tho since you never know what the colors will actually look like. Ai well, the prices are reasonable enough to experiment a bit.

According to their corporate site, they do private-label sales. DetroitGothic.Makeup, anyone? I get to name the colors! (always thought that would be a groovy job)

I remember reading that In Glamour back when I was 14. They can suck it. I'll wear glitter for as long as I CHOOSE to wear glitter.

I'm so inept at makeup, although I'm learning... I just found out that applying a base coat helps keep the shadow on your eyes longer. Thank you YOUtube!!!!

A GOOD eyeshadow base does wonders. Try Urban Decay's Primer Potion or Benefit's FYEye.

just my own personal preference... I would never presume to tell anyone what they "should" or "shouldn't" wear, especially based on age. I'm sure some people think I'm too old to run around in kitty ears & phat pants, with anime character pins all over my jacket... I agree, they can suck it!

and Urban Decay Primer Potion is the fucking makeup nectar of the gods!
