I know a lot of people don't like them much, because they're borderline mainstream I'm sure lol. But COF happens to be my favorite band.

Anybody going to the concert in a few weeks? Also thoughts on the new album. I was very relieved to see a return from the Thornography days *shudders* that cd was so terrible I almost cried. They've outdone themselves with this newest though, and Dani's signature vocals are back.

I will have to check out their new album.

I went to one of their shows a few years back. COF is a great live show.

I used to LOVE cradle. I have seen them a few times, they put on a cool show, but I stopped listening to them after Damnation and a Day...they started going down hill. The only 2 albums of theres I still concider to be good are Cruelty and the Beast and Miidian. If I were younger I would be pumped and probably go, but ive grown out of them.

I'm going. My friends' band Shadowveil is opening up.

Speaking of which, if anybody wants to avoid the ticketmaster fees and support Michigan metal, send me a PM and I'll tell you how to get in contact with them. They have a limited supply of tickets they need to sell before the show.

Tickets from them are only $20. Show is 1/23/09. Doors are at 5:00pm.

I remember seeing those guys back in 98 or 99, something like that. I definitely had to see them since their keyboardist at the time, Martin, was from bands like My Dying Bride and Anathema. Is he still their keyboardist? That would be cool to see them live again. I still have photos with them and some of the crew like this with Martin:

Now I'm one of those people who just listen to the music, I know Dani cuz everyone does... but I had NO IDEA the keyboardist was from My Dying Bride! That's another one of my favorite bands! Who woulda thunk.

I'll have to just start following that keyboardist around, I guess. Evidently I like his work.

Also last cradle concert at harpos it was mainly fetish-wear for the show. I'm thinkin my witchy wardrobe will stand out and grant me back-stage passes on the spot, of course =P

Shit I wanna go but I am stuck in Big, Rapids....when is this and where? I haven't missed a show yet but I was always in Milwaukee before.

These guys are the best band live but damn Dani is so heavy to hold up. Oh and the keyboard player has changed around alot. Man this could be the first show of their that I attend without acid in my system so I could remember everything...especialy where all those cigarette burns came from.

Also I'll admit 'Cradle of Fear' was hilarious. If it was supposed to be seductive in any way it failed terribly. I just can't get out of the mind the goth chick saying she's gonna let him "cum all over" her "tits". Lol so trashy.

Anyways I don't find Dani attractive unless he's broadcasting the band's decision to release a new album =P

And the show is January 23rd at Harpos, less than two weeks. I'd get your tickets quickly if you can. The whole shebang is starting around 5, but Cradle shouldn't be going on till 7 or 8.

Damn used to be my favorite band and inspiriation as a singer.

went downhill a little (only liked a song or 2 off of Thornography) but i'll always give em a chance

Godspeed is definately a return to the past. I think they realized what a huge mistake trying to appeal (to a degree) to the mainstream was, and we will never have to witness a disaster like Thornography again.

I guess I should go ahead and get them thru Ticketbastard. Isn't there a way to get them without the hassle of fees though? I don't think you can even get them at Harpos unless you go there on a concert night.

Ehhh not sure about that. I know Harpos continues to sell tickets on the night of, and you could try direct from Cradle's site but I'm not sure.

Dani Filth splashed his water right on my chest... now I have said water bottle. Lol he threw it and nobody went for it, plus I was So thirsty with no money to spare. So I drank what was left and felt obliged to keep it as a memento at least for a few months.

Also great t-shirts. Great concert over all. I love those assholes. lol some kid in line behind me said he asked for Dani's autograph when nobody else was around and the guy was a prick about it. That's why I tend to idolize music, not the stars who create it.

Dani? A prick? Hell no! Did he even ask the right guy? I will ask him about it when he gets here...if the wind doesn't destroy their bus on the way over...

      I know the feeling! So get this, when I was stuck in ABQ I decided to re-activate my phone. Now, for years I have been running a Straight Talk Mobile Hotspot for wifi instead of paying for actual phone service, because I get more data for 50 bucks on the wifi plan than I would get for the same price for my phone plan, and I don't call anybody very often if ever, so it only made sense. Well while I was in ABQ I got desperate and decided I needed to make some phone calls so I walked down to Walmart to get a  45 dollar plan for my phone, only to realize that I had to walk back to walmart again (4 miles one way) to get a new Sim card, because the one I had was too old, apparently...  Anyway, literally the second I reactivate my phone - I got a phone call from a frickin' debt collector!  I mean it was so instantaneous that I assimed it was Straight Talk calling to confirm my activation or something - instead it was somebody with a foreign accent that I could barely understand, asking for whoever the person was that previously had the phone number I had just been assigned. . . I was so irritated with this fact.    And yeah now I'm getting multiple calls, daily, from everybody and their brother, looking for whoever the person was that used to have this number.  Wells Fargo, AT&T, etc etc.    I think there needs to be some better way of doing this. Recycling phone numbers as fast as we do this day & age isn't working out very well. 🤷

      I have no idea why I'm even on all of these call lists that are on Robo-Dial by A.I.  One is a female voice and the other is a male voice and all they did was change the name that they give you.  I did get put through to a few live people to try to ask them to remove me from their list, but they, the telemarketer, hung up on me.   It's like I'm living "Telemarketers Revenge" for all the years of people handing up on them.   I always spoke with the telemarketer and then wished them a good day before hanging up.  And this is what I get for all of my decades of kindness.  I don't think I deserve this, but the World has lost a lot of the niceties that it used to have when I was growing up.  And no...COVID did not cause this.  I'm also getting tired of that excuse.  Its been 6 years!  People felt they were given the Green Light to be anti-social and rude to your face and now it is part of society just like everything else Mainstream adopts and considers it a cultural add-on.   I just hope I can survive this onslaught of calls blowing up my phone until it dies down.  Else, I will place a block on my number and only allow calls from family, friends and medical associated with my job.

      This is crazy.   I had to mute my phone because I am getting 50+ calls a day regarding Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Burial Benefits, a Senior Food Expense Card, a Senior Social Security monthly reimbursement benefit, etc., and I don't qualify for any of it.  I don't even meet the age requirement.   At current, I have 53 missed calls and 38 of them were from yesterday.
