Msterbeau Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I was gonna go but it took too long to shovel and do other chores. Maybe next week.
Brenda Starrr Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Every time I've gone, it smells like something is burning. Therefore, I don't go. I'm not joking.
Reaper Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Every time I've gone, it smells like something is burning. Therefore, I don't go. I'm not joking. Thats probably your abrasive relationship with God Brenda. You know what that means! *sniff sniff* lol
Destroit Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 On Sundays I go to the Church of St. Mattress always leaving very refreshed and awakened.

n0Mad Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Today was actually one of the first Sundays I didn't go to church. It's okay though, God will forgive me.
candyman Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Church was great...until everyone started singing don't fear the reaper and handed out cups full of fruit punch...I hate fruit punch!
Mean Salley Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 (edited) I got kicked out of church once because drums are Satan's instrument and the foundation of all things evil. I've never seen any biblical documentation to back that up, but if a crotchety old white guy says it, he must be right. That's how the church has been rolling for over a thousand years now. I did go to church today, it ended at 4:30 am and when it was over they yelled "get the fuck out" Edited January 19, 2009 by Mean Salley

Bernadette Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Meant to. Snowshoveled etc instead before work. I go about once a month. And want to try for more. Being in nature tho - is like church for me. And I do that all the time!
taysteewonderbunny Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I haven't been to "church" church in a long time. But every day, I try to pay attention to the wonder of the world around me and every day I am reminded of the importance of human interconnection.
TitsMcGee Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I haven't been since Christmas Eve, which was not that good since the preacher that we have come in decided to cut communion and whatnot from our service because the roads were bad and he needed to be on time for the service at his "home" church. My mom was pissed because it was the last service my brother was able to goto before his deployment to Iraq he's on right now.
the eternal Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I delivered food to impoverished Jewish immigrants instead. In Hebrew, it's called Tikkun Olam (healing the world) Sometimes, helping others less fortunate than ourselves is doing g-d's work just as much if not more than sitting in front of a pew reciting scripture.
Oh_My_Goth Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Church was great :D Had A nice Samhain gathering last night & catholic mass at Dignity Detroit
