TomCat Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 How did you know it was me? Marc met you @ sushi night.
Msterbeau Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Marc met you @ sushi night. And New Years.. But that's not what she's talking bout, I think...
taysteewonderbunny Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Marc met you @ sushi night. Yes, and we became better acquainted on New Year's. I was being smart-ass about the fact that my skirt has my frickin' name on it.
Msterbeau Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Yes, and we became better acquainted on New Year's. I was being smart-ass about the fact that my skirt has my frickin' name on it. What? Really? Where?
TomCat Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Yes, and we became better acquainted on New Year's. I was being smart-ass about the fact that my skirt has my frickin' name on it. I didn't notice...
Mean Salley Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 dammit, this is all well and good, but what I need to know is if there were any good slide tackles on the skating rink.
taysteewonderbunny Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 dammit, this is all well and good, but what I need to know is if there were any good slide tackles on the skating rink. I only saw one and it wasn't anyone from our group and it wasn't intentional, but of the two biggest show-offs on the rink, one got tripped up by the other and slid a good twelve to fourteen feet.
TheOsakaKoneko Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Hahah great pics Jeff thanks!! Everyone- great great time! We must do it again! (But if the next time really is on a Sat, I will miss it - skating was fun but City is still my home!!!)
Rev.Reverence Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 You ARE sorry!!!! *thumps Rev on the head* ...I run poetry...it's like a job...almost...
Eevee Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Hahah great pics Jeff thanks!!Everyone- great great time! We must do it again! (But if the next time really is on a Sat, I will miss it - skating was fun but City is still my home!!!) I was hoping on going to both. Since the skating ends at 11.
Brenda Starrr Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 I was hoping on going to both.Since the skating ends at 11. Yeah!! City's open til 4. If you're skating til 11, what's the big deal?!
TomCat Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Yeah!! City's open til 4. If you're skating til 11, what's the big deal?! YEAH! What B said!
TheOsakaKoneko Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Yeah!! City's open til 4. If you're skating til 11, what's the big deal?! I suppose that's true. Maybe. Where will it be this time? Honestly, what did everyone think of Bonaventure? I was a bit aghast at how rude the one guy was that worked there...I am too surrounded by only nice people all the time these days that I can't believe it when I meet an asshole and it really bothers me. It seemed like they were so used to dealing with kids that they can push around that they just treat everyone like that. I was pretty shocked. I haven't been treated like that in a while. Not that they did anything really bad or anything, but just a general way of acting. I'm pretty easily affected though.

I love it more than any rink I've been to thus far...EVERYONE there has been sweet to me and the kids. We chose it because it's central for most people. I refuse to give Skate World any more of MY money, so I'll never go there. What did everyone else think??

Slightly older guy with a dark greyish kinda swirly button down shirt. He was just not very nice when I was trying to get my skates and such. Plus the big 'we are inflexible about birthday parties' sign at the front made me weep for the unnecessarily disappointed kiddies there must always be.

Ehh? I don't remember that guy. The referee-type guy was pretty nice and so was the guy with the sideburns.
Brenda Starrr Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 I can't place that guy, and they're actually fairly flexible on a lot of things. I drive a long way, EVERY week, to go there. They're really nice.
Brenda Starrr Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 They can't believe that I drive from SCS to skate there. I must be cool....LOL
TomCat Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 They can't believe that I drive from SCS to skate there. I must be cool....LOL you are a lil' bit of alright Behbeh!
TheOsakaKoneko Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 They can't believe that I drive from SCS to skate there. I must be cool....LOL SCS? Oh well, it's not a big deal. You've had good luck there, so I'm sure it was just a one time thing. Everyone has a bad few minutes. He doesn't seem to have been captured in any of the pics, so I'm giving up. Not a big deal anyway. I just didn't see any logic for a rule that required me to stand in wet carpet in my socks for no real reason just so the guys working the counter wouldn't have to roll the 5meters back over to the shelves to put my shoes there after giving me my skates. I guess it's more reason to have your own, in addition to the ugly brown color and inherent blisters. This one is certainly conveniently located for me. But won't a Saturday mean dealing with ........ CHILDREN?!?!?!? (gasps of shock, horror, and terror)

We will offer them cookies.
taysteewonderbunny Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I like the idea of rollerskating and then City Club. What's better practice for the insanity to follow than going in circles for a couple of hours? Besides, the opposite order would be a disaster--much vomitus would paint those planks.
