candyman Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 The battle skirts, long tangled hair and beards, the traditional instruments, epic battle songs, walking out into the woods and acting like a troll...whatever draws you to the music. What is it with this stuff? I like alot of music but when it comes right down to it I want some Ensiferum, Finntroll, or Korpiklaani blasting in the backround. So, show me your knowledge or bring on the hate. I want to see some reactions to this relatively obscure music scene...

Such beautiful, elegant women...I can't wait till Wacken festival! Sweden?? Wacken?? I am green with envy..... I did get to meet Leaves' Eyes last time they were here, though. My husband has twice. The first time he met them, he gave Alexander Krull the shirt off his back. Literally. Kind of a funny story. Really great people, they are. If you ever see Alexander wearing a tee in a pic that says "I AM THE BAD GUY", David gave it to him.
Simon Bar Sinister Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 1) does Alestorm count? They're in town on March 22, btw. 2) hope you've got your Wacken '09 tix already. it sold out a couple of weeks ago.

My friend bought extra tickets because he is over in Europe as a student and can sell the tickets if I can't make it... Yes they are listed under Folk/Power Metal...but being a Scottish pirate myself I like to call it Scottish Pirate Metal
