City Club is currently accepting demos from those interested in becoming a City Club dj. You can submit your demo in cd or mp3 form to any of the City Club dj's (Jon Noble, Void6, PleasureKitten, or Elektrosonik) or to City Club management.

Please make sure that your contact information is included.

If submitting by mp3, message me for email to send it to.

I wouldnt mind doing a guest set there, it would be fun! But im a resident at Dead-Line...not sure how that would go.

I wouldn't think it to be a problem, they aren't on the same nights.

I dont think its possible to glow (at least well) to alot of the music I usually play, although I would probably have to play a little synthpop and ebm regardless...haha

Really looking forward to seeing who comes out of the woodwork for this one.

As void6 said, please, please, PLEASE make sure to include your contact info (IE: Name, phone number, e-mail). You'd be surprised to know how many demos I've seen wihout this crucial information!

Usually when I am looking for a DJ, I'm looking for someone with knowledge about the music and the scene, prior DJ experience is a HUGE plus-- but not always a requirement. Also, someone who knows how to craft a setlist and read the crowd. Finding a balance between playing new and different music and playing requests is incredibly important. Someone with a good disposition (check your ego at the door, please!) and demeanor, and obviously- someone who has their own music collection ;)

It has been a long, *long* time since I spun for anyone. Did some broadcast work in high school in the late 80's, and a little bit of stuff in the early 90's for parties (anyone remember pots?) I usually did equipment testing for our old club prior to it opening. I tend to be old school, 80's techno, and some stuff that might be a bit off the wall. That and the fact I don't have a mixing board or a setup.

I've been extremely busy lately, but wouldn't be opposed to doing a guest set sometime in the coming weeks... I'm at CC mostly every sat anyway... I suppose i'll shoot a demo out to one of the awesome residents or mgmt soon...

in the mean time, all DGN or CC related DJ's are welcome to check out p4djs.com and if you like what you see pm me (DJ Crazy Felon) and i'll bump u up to elite status just cause I can...

Hrmm. Its been awhile but DJ Troy Spiral *ponders coming out of the crypt* My problem is i like to please the patrons, playing what I know they want to hear regardless what obscure-ish stuff I like or want to play to impress my "cool dj friends".

Pleasing the fellow DJs is usually a whole different arena, having a lot to do with knowing their personal likes and dislikes, and in some cases, judging from past play lists I'd be being dishonest in creating a demo specifically for that purpose. The only DJs that Id claim as a "friends" that have similar DJing tastes are Jinx and believe it or not SG (and very distantly, more of an acquaintance, contacted me a few times online and called into my radio show... J9). Unfortunately none are on that list. =P

Void thanks a lot for posting this. I'm sure there are many interested parties who may otherwise not have known about this opportunity.

I would be happy to submit a demo if I can find someone who would be willing to give me time on a kit with a recorder. I would like to use discs as much as I can (I guess I am a bit old fashioned that way,) but can resort to other devices (including vinyl (yes, I could do vinyl well,) carts, (am I showing my age again?) and media players.)
