Yeah I was hoping for a better answere...but sadly logic leads us there...but better logic would lead to those taxes going towards something good...I mean seriously this huge increase in both the road tax and the cigarette tax in many states should at least go along with something...however, most of the funding is going toward "green" technology prototypes that don't work and huge AV clubs to weave as many subliminal messages into anti-smoking ads as possible.

Hey, if anyone from the ATF is on here...my next shipment of cigarettes is coming in from China, tax free, and that combined with me selling cigarettes I manufacture in my dorm room is really helping out my funds!

Oh and to the DOT...my custom stainless steel exhaust system is back on and loud, my car is still lowered, I have replaced my entire braking system with track pads and Motul fluid, the EGR sytem is gone, I am not running a CAT, and my restrictive intake tubing is replaced by a high velocity CAI...and you can suck it because I tuned that bitch better than most OEM...I will not pay any fines because I care for my car unlike 85% of the people out there that you should really be giving fines to...I don't do any damn street racing, only track, my car was in pieces when you "saw" it at that street race so I was not part of that accident and did not take part in any destruction of property!
