Rev.Reverence Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 ??? What is this protesting? ...& why do we care?
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted February 26, 2009 Author Posted February 26, 2009 It's a Tea Party. It's protesting the fact that the people in Washington are not listening to The People. Same as the orginal Tea Party. 54% of American's want the bail outs to stop.

Yeah...I tried to goto the link...but the website was really confusing...thanx...& as I have NO WAY to get there...I'll just wish wish the best .....I am not sure if I want the bailout(s) to happen....they seem to be trying to bail out allot of peoples...& I am not sure it is ALL necessary...but I am sure SOMETHINGS need to be put right...somehow. I am also pretty sure Washington does not care what the peoples think after the election is over...they rarely seem to..& I think it is an act when they seem to the every once in a while that they seem to listen to us...which is why I say "seem"...

SO Gaf...might I ask...how many bail outs are there on the table (or already passed?) I heard about Wall Street & the Bankers... I heard about the Governors...(Fed bails out the State){I did not like that 'cause there are riders that if the State takes the cash, it has to then comply with some things that it is NOT for the Fed to say...& that's some loop-hole shady shit} I heard that there are more...Civilian bail-outs & something else...but it was at coffee & like twenty-three peoples were yammering on...& I got into the Spiritual talks
Scary Guy Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 It's not a tea party as that involved the destruction of property, and they didn't announce it (because that would have been stupid). What they should do is do that to a shipment of cigarettes or something because the taxes on those are insane. Of course that would be a cig party. I don't foresee any more tea parties because the taxes on tea are really quite reasonable.

Yes, tea is very cheap...and if keep yelling "TEA PARTY!" we are going to be surrounded by Canadians in a second. There is actually a plan for a "cigarette party"...but like you said we don't want to say anything. There are plans in the works but it will be a while, like until it gets warm, before it takes place. It will probably be in places where smoking bans exist. Yes, taxes are rediculous...23 cents in the last three months...so pretty soon they will reach $7 a pack.
Destroit Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Soooo...we're taking the banks, including their executives and CEOs, and throwing them in Lake Michigan?
Rev.Reverence Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Soooo...we're taking the banks, including their executives and CEOs, and throwing them in Lake Michigan? I somehow doubt it...AS entertaining an Idea as that is!
