I can't really give any Steampunk type suggestions, since I'm not a follower of the the trend.

From an aesthetic standpoint, though, I would suggest if you're going to do the jacket-over-corset-look, the jacket needs to be more fitted and/or close in the front. Why cinch in the waist if you're going to wear a loose jacket over it?

The stockings aren't doing it for me. I would go with either plain black or even burgundy stockings with the old-fashioned garters.

A friend of mine is making steampunk goggles with plans to sell them. And a bunch of my friends are doing steampunk costumes to wear to conventions.
