Scary Guy Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Depends on the band and how good they are and how good the cover/tribute band is. If that band is still around I also see no reason for a tribute band.
Der Nister Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I don't really care for musicians that spend all their time trying to play or be someone else. I'm not saying it isn't right or they should stop because if other people enjoy it great but I myself would rather hear the real thing or watch video of bands that aren't togerther anymore.

A great shirt comes to mind... So covering a band is kind of like saying "we can do a better job" which you better be able to for me to like it, or at least do it justice. Either that or do it so horrible that I go "Oh wow this is horrible, but this is awesome, but this is horrible, but this is awesome, but this is so horrible it's awesome"
bav Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I think really the baseline that should be used is whether or not you're going to have fun. If you are, then it's totally worth it. If not, then don't go.
