Saturdays beginning at 11 am til ? at Trixie's Coffeehouse at 25925 Gratiot Avenue in Roseville. 586.776.9002.

For novices and adepts, men, women and children alike, a casual event featuring any and all of the fabric arts. Mending, alterations, new sewing projects, knitting, crocheting, tatting, quilting, felting, embroidery: bring your talents, enlarge your skills. Also, clothing exchange: swap your old for something "new" or just get fabrics for your next project.

Right now, the event is tiny and held at the back tables of Trixie's during the slow Saturday hours. (There is very little smoke at these hours.) Hoping to grow it over the next few weeks. Alternate dates and times may become available depending upon interest. Some tables are available for more portable machines. Later, hope to add webcam access for virtual conference with those with sergers, etc. who may want to host remotely. DGN membership not required. Bring a friend!

Come late. Last week, I was still there til after 6 pm (though I shouldn't have been because that made me late somewhere else). Anyway, this Saturday and next Saturday, I have other commitments. My friend, Destiny, should be holding down the fort. I MIGHT be able to pop in for parts THIS Saturday, but definitely not on April 4. And THEN, April 11 (excepting an excursion to the airport), I will assume my place on the couch at the back of Trixie's, with an entire 40 gallon storage container of yarn at my feet. Yay!
