'allo everyone!

Sorry there was a bit of a stretch between me registering and me being able to introduce myself. My internets, they have not been behaving as internets ought, over the past week. Thank you bunny for setting things up for me.

So...me:

My musical/cultural/aesthetic tastes sometimes include goth but I wouldn't go so far as to bear the mantle of Goth.

It's really tough to sum my musical tastes up.

The last 5 artists on my iPod, on shuffle: T.Rex (70s glam), the Strokes (modern, late 70s NYC punk throwback), the Creation (60s UK psychedelic mod), Sherriff and the Ravells (really obscure 50s doo-wop, a song the Cramps once covered), and The Clash...yeah, all over the place, really.

I lived most of my life in Detroit until I moved (and it wasn't really my choice) to New Mexico about a year ago.

There is no goth scene here.

There is no punk scene here.

There is no scene of any kind here, really.

I'm told El Paso, about an hour from here, kind of has night life in it but I've never been.

I live in New Mexico and I dream of Detroit.

The desert and mountains are gorgeous at night but this place is remote and lonely.

The name? Perhaps it involves a character from the funny pages from your local newspaper and sleeping on a couch after having a few too many. Perhaps it involves a little toy car interacting with some other objects on my desk. Perhaps if you spell it backwards and strike out every third letter, something significant will arise.

You never know; I haven't tried it.

S'ok, hardly goth here, either - more of a rock n' roll Deadcat with deathrock leanings.

Cool mix on the Ipod! Definitely SPAG/2500/Deadcat music there! Similar to what's on my pod and winamp.
