There was a time I could tell you the model, production date, engine horsepower, turbo size, and steering quirks of each and every model from the YP-38 to the P-38M Night Fighter.

My dream is to have one of these in polished aluminum (any model from G to LO,) operational, and be able to fly it. It is a royal pain to learn, but it is highly maneuverable for its size.

The "twin forked devil" booms and dual radiator ducts on each boom was enough to key me in.

To reiterate about my love of this warbird:
