Bacon-Powered Blowtorch!

Yes. You read that right.

I'm assuming this forum was the correct place to put this. Hehe, hard to tell with things like this.

I believe my favorite sentence out of the whole thing was, 'an intense bacon-plasma torch." Seriously. That sounds.... well... serious.

That is a waste of good bacon.

Going to bump this over to politics/science.

And at least you can make the shop smell like morning breakfast

I agree with you, although it's sort of cool.

At least you found some practical use for pork.

At least it's not thermite. Then again, I could see myself in a few years building a thermal lance and having fun with abandoned steel structures.

xD w00t!

bring me along with you!

It's nice to see that there's at least one other pyro on board.

What's the problem with thermite? I have allegedly heard from other sources that it can be fun. Allegedly.:wink Aside from that, I'm not sure if this is the greatest thing ever, or a waste of bacon. I may need to attempt it to be really sure.

Oh, nothing except for that the mere mention of thermite brings people too stupid to use thermite out of the woodwork every time I've seen it discussed and the risk of boiling iron flung at everything at several hundred feet per second if it comes in contact with water and causes a BLEVE event. Chernobyl was in part a BLEVE event. BLEVEs are fun to watch on video 20 years after the fact. Naturally, if you happen to see me running away from a fire or accident site, you probably should do the same.

Then again, these Chinese farmers do it better than any anarchist wannabe: http://www.poetv.com/video.php?vid=55570

You might be MacGyver if you make thermal lances out of bacon when you need to cut some heavy duty chain for no good reason and you can't find your bolt cutters (for no good reason) but happen to have bacon, cucumbers and an oxygen tank handy.

well that was a pointless invention

On idiots and thermite; I would think that the problem would take care of itself in relatively short order.

Also, that video is one of the more awesome things that I've seen in a while.

Nothing from searching google either. I'm honestly shocked.

Wait, I found a guy who managed to get himself in the face playing with a thermite grenade.
