I wonder if it is possible to sue for pain and suffering...My neighbors appear to be beating their dogs again and the sound is crippling. I feel that they are trying to push their view of animal cruelty on me. Isn't that grounds for legal action!?!

Me too. In our family, to receive an animal is a blessing. They come to us in many ways by different means. Animals have been a part of our family forever and to know that some monster feels like they can treat an animal like a commodity or money maker sickens me to no end. I have been slowly losing my mind since these individuals moved in next door. They know how we feel so they rub it in our faces and dare us to send the authorities. It's just too hard to catch them and animal rescue only wants to handle what they can see not hearsay...

I've known people like "that" in different "situations". Sickens me also. I am truly sorry that you are encountering such persons. They are the kind where "talking" and "being civil" are absolutely useless. It's like you can't be honest with a liar, and you can't teach an idiot. I am not sure how you are going to make any resolve. Perhaps move? Some things are out of our reach and we can't save everyone but I feel the same frustration as you when it comes to those animals. Wish I had a solution...
