Having just released a brand new album (which I still haven't picked up yet, bad me), Tori Amos will be coming to the Detroit Opera House on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 8pm. Tickets just went on sale today and I just finished buying mine.

was a huge fan back around her first 2 or 3 albums but since then i feel like every cd seems to only have a couple of stand out tracks. but she always puts on a good show and i haven't seen her is a few years so i got mine this morning too.

the new Tori is also a let down hehe... I love her early albums but since "to venus..." its all been not really good.

$31...tempting but I don't know. I went once about 8 years ago and it was nice but I prefer the kind of show that you stand and dance and have a good time to those that you sit and listen like classical music..which is what the Tori show I went to was like. Are they usually sit-down shows?

I haven't actually bought a CD since To Venus and Back. I used to absolutely adore her but I think her earlier stuff was way way better than the newer stuff...or maybe I've just outgrown her pretensions (but don't get me wrong, I LOVER her pretensions! I just think she probably resonates a lot stronger with the high school/college set than older folks. At least she did for me more back then when I was still figuring things out and figuring out who I am and what the world was like (not that I'm not anymore, but whatever...)...wow I'm digressing a lot! Anyway, we'll see. If I can get tickets without TM fees I may consider it.
