Grumpy referees and civil servants. I don't understand why people who don't like people get jobs working with them.

I hate it when the office air conditioner is set to "meat locker."

People who are supposed to be telling me how to do something, yet have absolutely no idea what to do.

..and taxpayers are paying these peoples' salaries. How do I get a job like this? Where do I sign up? I'd be knocking heads together, and completely re-writing instruction pamphlets so that they actually make SENSE. Ever try to read product assembly instructions that are badly translated from Chinese? This is very similar.

Seriously.

I have to say... I did utilize stuff on the applications, but I liked a combination of both the best. I liked to know about how much the person was expected to make, so I don't waste my time or anyone elses. We also had to look into references, so I needed as much info to contact previous employers that I could get.

Unexperienced front desk at hotels starts at about $8 an hour for a lower level chain. The big 3-5 star hotels only want experience, but they pay wayyyyyy better.
