StormKnight (1) Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 (edited) *waits for the inevitable "it was a hoax" comments* To make us look towards the stars, and celebrate the anniversary of mankind's first baby steps from our mother earth to walk among them? Not a chance in hell. At least, not from me. Edited July 16, 2009 by StormKnight
phee Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 But will it be released with additional content and editing by Speilburg/Lucas? Will there be more Ewoks? Will Han still shoot first? Will random items be replaced with walkie talkies?
pomba gira Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 I remember what a huge deal it was... they brought TVs into the science room at school & anyone could go in there & watch if they wanted to... I wasn't all that impressed, but I was only 7 so what did I know!
~Tszura~ Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 (edited) *waits for the inevitable "it was a hoax" comments* And here she goes........ I can neither fully support, nor fully deny that we actually landed on the moon, and did a little walk about. I have my doubts on both sides. I think it's absolutely possible we did, but my doubts exist for a variety of reasons. Some of these reasons stem from the photos. While awe inspiring, some of the photos just don't sit well with me regarding lighting, and landscape. I'll admit, I am clueless as to what the moons atmosphere actually consists of and how that would affect the lighting, depth of field, etc., but some of the pics of the landscape just kind of cut off, and go nowhere. On this planet, we can see the horizon far off, and the sky after that. This doesn't seem to be the case with many of the moon pics. This flicker of doubt is just one among many for me regarding this topic. Whether it actually happened, or was a hoax, or it was a represenation of some partial truth, "doubt" keeps a healthy debate going about this, and encourages people on both sides to look deeper. Simon Bar Sinister Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 (edited) no such thing as a healthy debate when one side's crazy. Edited July 18, 2009 by SpammerOvTheGods
~Tszura~ Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 no such thing as a healthy debate when one side's crazy. I don't mind being crazy Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I just prefer not to be spoon fed.
