Essentially, this drug warrior sincerely believes that if Marijuana was legalized, everyone would still buy shitty weed from Jose, the drug lord with facial tattoos, rather than from "Marijuana merchants, LLC", where they can get pot so powerful they won't be able to stand after smoking it, and don't have to worry about being stabbed by their dealer.

Is that the best argument these fascists can muster?

I only buy shitty weed from people named after the Christian lord and savior, NEVER Jose

I think if marijuana was legalized, many people would grow their own because it's so easy to do and the cheapest route to take. Those who don't grow would probably just get it from a friend who does.

the trick is to not buy shitty weed

He is probably thinking that they would track him if he bought it from a business source. Regardless though, I don't know how a pot smoker would pass up the chance for some high grade ganja.

At the rate things are going, Cannabis sativa L., C. indica Lam., or C. ruderalis Janisch are never going to be legal, in the first place.

There are too many big businesses with conflicting interests, who can afford lobbyists.

Jyxxxed, 18 states have either medical marijuana laws or have decriminalized marijuana. You need 38 states to amend the constitution.

I have hope.

I'm going off of memory but isn't marijuana listed as an illegal substance because of it's classification by the FDA and not act of congress?

It was originally made illegal in the early 1900s due to corruption and GASP* Lobbying. Much of the reason was because of a very powerful man named William Randolf Hearst who owned some newspapers. He had invested in timber to produce his paper with at a lower cost and was concerned with hemp paper causing him to lose money on his timber. He hooked up with a guy named Harry J. Anslinger who was the head of the newly formed Federal Bureau of Narcotics. The two use fear mongering and racial issues to spearhead the government's outlawing of marijuana.

/end history lesson.

Amazing. The government was lying to us even back then.
