That makes at least two women on the board who Roller Derby. It's something I'd consider if, well, anyone who saw me at one of the DGN skate nights knows why THAT would be a BAD idea. Isn't there a movie coming out on Roller Derby? Fictionalized, with Drew Barrymore? (looking up on webz) Ah, yes. "Whip It" due out on October 2.
Joey Deadcat Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) It's rough business. My late beloved was once invited to join a team. She probably would've showed no mercy! LOL Edited September 7, 2009 by Joey Deadcat
Raev Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 One of my best friends does Derby. She did it around here for a while, got signed to a team out in Seattle. It's fun to watch. Real women derby!
Kit Kat P Posted September 8, 2009 Author Posted September 8, 2009 Unfortunately I'm just a reff for now, but I love it. I'd be happy staying a reff if it means being a part of the action. And we are a part, as my sling makes obvious.
