Woohoo! That makes at least two women on the board who Roller Derby. It's something I'd consider if, well, anyone who saw me at one of the DGN skate nights knows why THAT would be a BAD idea.

Isn't there a movie coming out on Roller Derby? Fictionalized, with Drew Barrymore? (looking up on webz) Ah, yes. "Whip It" due out on October 2.

One of my best friends does Derby. She did it around here for a while, got signed to a team out in Seattle. It's fun to watch.

Unfortunately I'm just a reff for now, but I love it. I'd be happy staying a reff if it means being a part of the action. And we are a part, as my sling makes obvious.
